The Opportunity:

Here at Roche Diabetes Care, you will be working on reliability, safety and effectiveness of ourcutting-edge medical devices. This is a unique opportunity where passion for healthcare meets purpose. You will work independently and as an integrated team member under the direction of the HW Testing manager or a principal engineer. You will provide high testing expertise and leadership to support product and lifecycle management, including test strategies, test design, development of test methods, testing according to international standards and evaluation of results.

  • Provides test strategies on a program/ multiple scrum teams level and provides input to the project/iteration plan. Shares insight to testing outcomes driven from customer usage with the design team and fosters product reliability as part of the design

  • Performs tests and evaluation of results to assess maturity & robustness of the entire product including standard compliance and state-of-the-art submission of verification contents

  • Supports product care-related activities regarding product design in alignment with Product Support functions (e.g. operations, Quality) e.g. detailed investigation of complaints from the market

  • Evaluate impact, plan & perform tests related to design changes to improve product quality or cost reduction issues

  • Defining and mandating complex work packages to parties outside the development team and outside of Roche (accredited labs, certification bodies, national authorities)

  • Supplies design verification & testing principles in a broad range of technical assignments making independent decisions based on sound reasoning and analysis

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineeringor Biomedical Engineering or closely related discipline

  • 5+ years of progressive work experience in an appropriate engineering field, including medical device product design verification or engineering testing; work pursued in support of an advanced technical degree may be considered

Preferred:

  • Experience in a regulated product development environment is preferred, MD/ IVD experience is strongly preferred

  • Significant accomplishments in product design verification of a medical device, experience in submission related content is a plus

  • Experience in mandating & monitoring work packages at accredited labs and third party testing services

*This is a campus-based role in Indianapolis, IN. Relocation benefits are not offered for this role. The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indiana is $106,500 and $148,600. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
