EnviroScience is looking to hire a summer/seasonal, Wetland Delineation Technician to support our natural resources group in the Hendersonville, North Carolina office. EnviroScience/ClearWater specializes in ecosystem restoration and mitigation, environmental studies, permitting, and watershed studies. As part of our commitment to environmental education and stewardship, we are actively looking for motivated, high-quality students who are eager to further their education through hands-on experience.


The intern positions will assist ES scientists, biologists, engineers, and project managers in activities that may include conducting wetland assessments/delineations, stream assessments, terrestrial surveys, and wetland functional assessments, using botanical skills to conduct plant identifications and inventories, conducting rare/threatened/endangered species habitat surveys, preparing sections of documents; assisting with surveys and site assessments at field locations; data collection and processing; and gaining an understanding of environmental services pertaining to ecosystem planning and assessment.

Qualifications

This position will best fit someone who can work independently, exhibits scientific writing skills, and has experience and a background in wetland science, botany, and/or soils and hydrology. Past experience is not necessary, but a willingness to learn and a positive attitude are expected. Must work well in a team environment. Applicants should be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and must have a valid driver's license.
