The General Clerk III uses some subject-matter knowledge and judgment to complete assignments consisting of numerous steps varying in nature and sequence. The General Clerk III selects from alternative methods and refers problems not solvable by adapting or interpreting substantive guides, manuals or procedures. The General Clerk III works closely with facility operations and maintenance (O&M) personnel (Chief Engineer and Leads) in the execution, tracking and documentation related to facility service calls, preventive maintenance (PM) and other related work.

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
