This opportunity works in office full-time based out of our Fargo, ND office location.

This position is eligible for internal and external applications.

Pay Information

Total compensation is based on a mix of base salary in addition to a Sales Incentive Plan with incentives tied to performance goals.

Opportunities for continued salary growth through performance-based incentive programs.

A day in the life

The Sales Broker Partner is responsible for proactively identifying opportunities and engaging with brokers and consultants with the goal of generating new business. This position will execute effective sales strategies to drive membership growth and profitability ensuring organizational goals are achieved.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Develops, cultivates, and maintains favorable business relationships with agents and brokers.
  • Ensures brokers are consistently satisfied with the organization's products and services, maximizing sales opportunities.
  • Generates interests, establishes pipeline and understanding of broker book of business and sales structure. Focuses on supporting local brokers as they retain and expand their book of business.
  • Supports and oversees the sales and support for brokers and clients, including the recommendation of appropriate products and solutions.
  • Addresses, escalates, and resolves areas of concern raised by agents and brokers. Serves as an advocate for the broker within the organization.
  • Facilitates educational training seminars for clients, vendors, and brokers.
  • Educates and drives awareness and preference of our services throughout the brokerage community.
  • Develops client specific pricing strategies in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Understands broker business model, goals, and strategies as well as industry trends and directions.
  • Presents broker and client proposal with a solution, financial justification, and expected results to overcome objections and win the business.
  • Leads multiple sales opportunities concurrently in various stages of the selling cycle following a sales process methodology.
  • Travel outside of core business location is required.

What you need to succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sales or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in sales, sales development, marketing or related experience.
  • A valid and maintained active driver's license in the state of North Dakota and Minnesota.
  • An Insurance Producer License or the willingness to obtain one within 3 months of hire.
  • Shows interests in understanding the needs and expectations of customers.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with individuals to deliver information.
  • Organized and has the ability to prioritize tasks within a changing environment.
  • Coordinates well with other parties to accomplish goals.
  • Ability to end a customer interaction with confirmed satisfaction.

Equivalent combination of education, experience or training determined to be acceptable by Human Resources may be substituted, unless regulated by contract or program standards
