Job Description:

The Maintenance Technician supports facility staff by performing maintenance duties such as maintenance of office equipment, and computer systems, electrical projects, light construction. Works with outside contractors and vendors on facilities and equipment repairs. General Maintenance, Troubleshooting and operations maintenance for all equipment used in facility.

Key Responsibilities/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ability to safely and accurately measure voltage and current; uses this data to troubleshoot circuits

  • Trained to work with 460,220,120 VAC and 24 volt DC circuits

  • Use mechanical experience to align bearings, shafts and drives

  • Adjust tension of belts and chains

  • Lubricate, oil, and clean devices as specified in their maintenance manuals

  • Work with pneumatic circuits involving cylinders and solenoid valves

  • Develop an overall maintenance schedule based on the requirements of each device

  • Ability to analyze cards and chips and replace if necessary

  • Troubleshoot network systems

  • Troubleshoot cabling and I/O devices

  • Configure and troubleshoot IBM compatible computers

  • Understand and utilize ICARE principles to communicate at all levels within the organization

  • Improve quality and efficiency on the production floor

  • Maintain printers

Minimum Experience:

0-2 years of relevant experience.

Critical Skills:

  • 1 + years experience troubleshooting conveyor systems to include but not limited to shafts, bearings, rollers, drive systems, motors, motor start circuits

  • 1 + years experience working with I/O devices to include PLCs, VFDs, photoelectric sensors, solenoids, pneumatic control devices, fluid power mechanisms

  • 1 + years experience trouble shooting PCs and peripheral devices to include hard drives, memory, circuits, cards and chips, and port expanders

  • 6 months experience troubleshooting printers and print devices like toner printers, thermal printers, thermal transfer printers and associated equipment

  • 1+ years working with hand tools, power tools, and demonstrated safety practices

Additional Skills:

  • Discretionary, decisive and organized thinking regarding best practices

  • 1+ year facilities engineering experience

  • Self-motivated and self-directed

  • Extreme attention to detail

  • Flexible to meet changing business demands and situations

Education:

  • Degree or equivalent experience

Working Conditions Environment (e.g., office, manufacturing, warehouse)

  • Production environment

  • Closely monitored and legally compliant regulations

Physical Requirements (e.g., lifting, standing for extended periods, climbing) during scheduled shift

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$26.96 - $44.93
